I hope this is respectful of Tarthang Tulku’s insistence that TSK is not Buddhism, but it seems legitimate to take from anywhere whatever help us to understand the insights of TSK.\u00c2\u00a0 In that spirit, I’ve been thinking about the TSK insight that the spirit of the future, when brought into the present, brings energy, awareness, and life with it.\u00c2\u00a0 The question of how the ego\u00c2\u00a0prevents this from happening seems beautifully captured in the Tibetan Buddhist Wheel of Life.\u00c2\u00a0 The ordinary “I” seems to only relate to the future in these ways: projecting what it wants to have (grasping); avoiding\u00c2\u00a0any recognition of what might threaten it’s claims (aversion), and always clueless about the living, dynamic realm in which we live (ignorance).\u00c2\u00a0 Perhaps seeing this can help us to welcome\u00c2\u00a0 the living, infinite, creative possibilities of a human life into\u00c2\u00a0awareness?\u00c2\u00a0 –Michael<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
