It was suggested in class that we look for &#8216;<em>transitions<\/em>&#8216; between moments, because this kind of inquiry, &#8220;<em>may just open up experience in new and interesting way<\/em>s&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Essential for this description was my use of Les McCann&#8217;s, musical piece entitled &#8216;<em>North Carolina<\/em>&#8216;. Here&#8217;s a FREE link to You Tube so you can LISTEN TO IT AS YOU READ THE DESCRIPTION BELOW&#8230; Is it for everyone? Ha Ha! Is anything for everyone? Think of it as a &#8216;metaphor&#8217; for we heart-thumping, ever-measuring creatures of Time.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Les McCann- &quot;North Carolina&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OKNF25K7PCw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;An \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI-awareness\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 or \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI-ness\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 accompanies and supports each occupied moment, linking sense fields, thoughts, interpretations, and emotions in a way that is central to the spirit of human being.&#8221; LOK p.179<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">While I sit calmly there&#8217;s a heart-beat, a foundational drum rhythm keeping time; then weird organ counterpoint, gourd-rattling, wire-brushes, base-thumping, tin-tapping, eerie sonar sound belching, echoes homing in, referring here and there. I&#8217;m hooked&#8230; Becoming the rhythm \u00e2\u20ac\u201c toe tapping, head-bobbing, body-twitching, finger-snapping, embodiment \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a <em>put-together<\/em> construction of bits of this and that, piston-pumping, motor-running vehicle moving through a deep medium. Surrounded by vastness, somewhere near or under the bridge, a shift happens \u00e2\u20ac\u201c <em>a transition<\/em> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and I am no longer a singularity, but a multiplicity of perspectives with unique beats observing my crazy movements, watching my medium gulp-gasping, bubble-burping, tin-tapping rust-bucket-passing through.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This multiplicity, like schools of heart-thumping fish communities running in the currents, arrayed in myriad variations and bright colors, oranges, reds, and yellows, curiously <em>eye <\/em>my rhythmic-tapping sonar-bouncing progressions, against a shifting background world of aqua-greens and <em>deep blues<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Then, an oceanic awareness dawns&#8230; I <em>am<\/em> currents shifting, the multiplicity of <em>sensing eyes<\/em>, <em>and <\/em>the base-thumping old rust-bucket, <em>and <\/em>the viscous medium, but carrying through, underlying it all, is <em>Time<\/em>, the vitality of the rhythm, <em>transitioning <\/em>from perspective to perspective, the fluidity of occupation, the embodiment in and of space, the moving indeterminate points adopted and released.
