The reading from the book SDTS suggests \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI am here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 as a starting point. This makes an interesting contrast to the idea that space is fundamental. You might ask yourself whether the two viewpoints are diametrically opposed, or whether \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI am here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 is just a version, an expression, of \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcspace is fundamental\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. Put differently, if you think in terms of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153space projecting space into space\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, which of the three occurrences of \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcspace\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 could be equated with \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI am here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122? Any of them?<\/em><\/p>\n

The ‘Space Projecting Space<\/em>‘ essay by Jack Petranker in the book, ‘A New Way of Being<\/em>,’ says that: The intimate relation between space and knowledge gives us two distinct ways of looking at space. Because it has the capacity to accommodate unlimited appearances (countless stories), we can say of space that it is empty<\/span>. But because it accommodates only what makes sense, within a specific known world of experience, we can also say that space is full<\/span>\u00e2\u20ac\u201dfilled to capacity by the world that the story makes available. <\/em>pg 163<\/p>\n

If it is the space that is projecting, countless stories are possible, but if it is the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI am here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 that is projecting; only the founding story is allowed. Our usual way of projecting is with the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI am here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. We accept only what make sense to us, only what fits in what is already known. In this approach, in starting with the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI am here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 we set a position, reacting against space, exchanging infinite by limited.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the approach offered by SDTS starting with \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI am here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, consider this starting point as a pointer to an empty space, a space of infinite possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
