This is an interesting poem. It can be read a number of ways, for instance, at a normal discursive level, which is a kind of linear reading. It can also be read through the benefit of the TSK vision\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n

No Going Back<\/strong>

No, no, there is no going back.
\nLess and less you are
\nthat possibility you were.
\nMore and more you have become
\nthose lives and deaths
\nthat have belonged to you.
\nYou have become a sort of grave
\ncontaining much that was
\nand is no more in time, beloved
\nthen, now, and always.
\nAnd so you have become a sort of tree
\nstanding over a grave.
\nNow more than ever you can be
\ngenerous toward each day
\nthat comes, young, to disappear
\nforever, and yet remain
\nunaging in the mind.
\nEvery day you have less reason
\nnot to give yourself away.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A possible interpretation… As we get older we may tend to hold on less to a \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcmyopic self-interest\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/em> and become less focused on the striving to accumulate and consolidate, the way we have in our past, and thus relax into a more generous way of being, not only with those we might come into contact, but also in the way we engage with each moment… less rushing, but rather, more embodying, and abiding…<\/p>\n

The TSK vision way of reading and experiencing this poem, might invite questions such as: Who goes back? Where is back? If you “give yourself away<\/em>“, then there’s only Now, where ‘who<\/em>‘ and ‘back<\/em>‘ arise together. Then ‘who<\/em>‘ is not relied upon, and ‘back<\/em>‘ isn’t other than Now.<\/p>\n
