I used the “raise hand” function in class to share my experience with the exercise but I don’t think that was noticed.\u00c2\u00a0 “Appreciation” invites a qualitative contact with space or spaciousness.\u00c2\u00a0 With appreciative eyes and senses, I tuned readily into the feeling quality of space all around me and through me, sensing it as a pervasive and open field.\u00c2\u00a0 The things, or the appearance of things, in my room served as no obstacle to space.\u00c2\u00a0 I drew close to an energetic structure in my body, feeling it as a form and an image and a presence, and as I did so, attuned to the space dimension, it seemed there was nothing there to find at all.\u00c2\u00a0 It eluded me, like a cloud or hologram in a grasping hand.\u00c2\u00a0 And this “no” of no-thing became the very “permission” for the appearance to be, for its appearing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
