One of the themes in Jack’s notes for this week is that–taking off from a remark by Hayward in last Sunday’s class about “me” and referring to TSK exercise 30 (Reversal of Self and Object)–we can explore the relationship of self and world\u00c2\u00a0by considering that\u00c2\u00a0when we speak of “me” we are making ourselves the object of a relationship.<\/p>\n
I like the phrase “if you’re like me” because it not only makes me the object of another subject, but it invokes a community and a field in which a wider perspective is invoked than that of a\u00c2\u00a0self who is polarized with his world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
