Perhaps this is mundane, but I remembered a trip yesterday to Home Depot, a building supply warehouse. Focusing on the space within the memory, I recalled the huge volume of the space inside, all the way up to the corrugated roof and steal beams that extended over isle after isle of stacked supplies. Remembering was initially a focus on the massive space of that warehouse, then as time changed I kept trying to recall the scenes, which then became a kind of linear unfolding of the recording of my visit there; walking down the heat pump filters isle past the kitchen remodel isle, and so on. But as time changed the memory kept being interrupted, like the way a TV picture is marred by interference and zigzags or snowy blanks. The linear recording of the memory didn’t seem to play out precisely in a linear way. There were openings in the memory, spaces or holes on the story of the progression.<\/p>\n
Also, I noticed there were parts of the memory that were clear and colorful, and other parts that were washed out, dark or surrounded by dark, making the images hard to see. It occurred to me ‘the dark’<\/em> was space, the space of mind, the ‘background’<\/em>, and that I was seeing through the images, that perhaps they were just faded or transparent in various degrees.
