Walked the field of stars,
\nWalked through the mind,
\nAnd the hold of time,
\n Released me like a cloud-
\n A cloud seen high in the ranging hills-
\n Releases itself, opens itself to
\n Form, vapor, space alone,<\/p>\n

What note would sound
\nTo bring it back again,<\/p>\n

High or low,
\nSoft, loud?<\/p>\n

I doubt if I could voice it,
\nBut someone else might,<\/p>\n

Someone young, and stretching,
\nLifting her touching hands
\nOver her head,
\nOne foot touching the earth,
\nThe other, the inner thigh,
\nHer eyes open,
\nHer balance,
\nSure, easy, smiling,
\nLaughter lifts her lips,<\/p>\n

The day is born,
\nAs her hands arc
\nGently to her sides,<\/p>\n

And she conceives to say,
\nJust as I think to say,<\/p>\n

Ah,<\/p>\n

And one vast cloud forms
\nTo shower down
