LOK was the first DP book I bought\u00e2\u20ac\u201cthe title, organization, diagrams, poems, short segments all intrigued me\u00e2\u20ac\u201cthe multidimensional ways of presenting the inquiries.\u00c2\u00a0In reading Ex 5 this morning, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m mystified about the difference between being \u00e2\u20ac\u0153owner\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of a situation and being a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153given\u00e2\u20ac\u009d part of the situation.\u00c2\u00a0Any help appreciated.<\/p>\n
Looking for clues, I went back to the poem at the start of the chapter: Within subject, within object, before meaning, beneath intention, center to center, point to point, hidden rhythm, secret interplay of knowledge.\u00c2\u00a0 This calls me to wonder\u00c2\u00a0if Ex 5 involves exploring perspective from a separate self in a situation to one\u00c2\u00a0a more global perspective.\u00c2\u00a0 Metaphorically, perhaps, if I was a strand of DNA within a cell, as a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153self\u00e2\u20ac\u009d perhaps I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d view the entire cellular tension\u00c2\u00a0as the DNA\u00c2\u00a0strand but not so much as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153given\u00e2\u20ac\u009d part of the cell.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0LOK ex 5 allows me to be the DNA strand but not standing alone within the cell.\u00c2\u00a0 I can think of lots of work situations that could be interesting to play with here.\u00c2\u00a0 Hmmm, not sure how clear this is.\u00c2\u00a0 Words are somewhat troublesome for me with TSK!<\/p>\n
Somewhat relatedly, yesterday morning I started playing with TSK Ex 24: Marrying Sound and Breath.\u00c2\u00a0 Since this is also temporarily oriented, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d like to continue with it this week.\u00c2\u00a0 Perhaps insights will arise for LOK Ex 5.<\/p>\n
