GETTING REAL

It was to be stillness only time,
\nWhat a pledge to make,
\n But after awhile
\n Thoughts started showing up
\n Like singularities
\n Constructed as the stars themselves
\n Must have been,<\/p>\n

They were the work of an idle god
\n Sitting down at a piano,
\n A chaired god, bored out of his beat mind
\n Until the drum got going
\n And a bass came in
\n Chords were played then,
\n And a tune unrolled,
\n It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s as if one could make up the dawn
\n Right on the spot,
\n And there it was,
\n The blue heavens trembling
\n Into pink lit flaring clouds,<\/p>\n

There were bird cries,
\n There were great fish,
\nTheir black backs rolling through the seas,
\n Pelicans diving down and scooping up
\n Living silver flashing schools of tiny things,
\n And we were there too,
\n Chatting and strolling
\n On the spume brushed sands,
\nIt was enough,
\n And the god backed off the keys,
\n The drum vanished,
\n And the bass man gazed out
\n From his lofty hold on life itself and smiled,
