In class today based on the book, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcDimensions of Mind<\/em>\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, we were working with Zones, and also practicing looking into them\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 Inquiring into zones involves understanding how we set them up as thoughts, perceptions, feelings, and so forth, as they arise in aware space\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 how we structure them with meaning and language, and how with our presuppositions we contextualize them. We practice how to stay in the center of the zone to observe what happens\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 staying in the center is staying present with the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfeel\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 of how we tend to \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcmaterialize\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 openness into a zone of significance. Rinpoche says:<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Appearance is just appearance. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s bottomless and seedless. Whatever appears is a projection, or a reflection of a projection\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 Something begins. Something moves \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcto\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 somewhere else, but that \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcto\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 is not necessarily \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcthere\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, not necessarily anywhere at all. I remember from awhile back one particular inquiry into a zone. So I’m sharing it here\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n

Soft piano jazz filters in\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6an easy fluid ambience, the ripple widens as feeling fills space like slow-rising water\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6body can scarcely contain affection for the endearing moment\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n

There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a radiant quality to the feeling of AFFECTION\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 and it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s carried along rippling out to new arising events, like awareness of light tipping edges, a breeze nudging needles\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 other risings are imbued with affection and deepening joy\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
