TRANSLUCENT GARDEN\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n

Sometimes I sit and look to the source of thoughts… it’s not a ‘where’… it’s more a ‘feel’… as translucent things arise and begin to further cohere… Ken’s poem has that \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfrom the source feel\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 for me…<\/p>\n

THE GARDEN AS MOONLIGHT
\n By Ken McKeon<\/p>\n

I sit on the seat of my rollator
\nIn a garden
\n Set on the moon
\n Of my planet the Earth,
\nIt is no airless place
\n Chalked up
\n With the dust and dents
\n Of multiple centuries,
\n It is the circulating light
\n Of widely open cloudless time,
\n It is the fertile spaciousness
\n That blooms fully
\n In the slowly churning mind,<\/p>\n

So just where does the rain come from?
\n Your senselessness disturbs me,
\n It quickens
\n Like the sunlight right now
\n Charms the old
\n Redwood chair
\n Set at ease
\n On the pool of the lawn,
\n It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s that sudden, that bright,
\n It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s as if the sun,
\n Our nearest distant star,
\n Had on the instant shaken free
\nFrom the trees behind,
\nThat still, that quick,
\n That much
\n As the moon is
\n When it breaks clear
\n To shed a pathway
\n On the seas of time,<\/p>\n

See there, listen in,
\n Bathe in the moist light,
\n Turn within it,
\n And you will see that
\nThe fallen falling rain falls still,
\n On lawn, shrub, flower, and tree,
\n Residual, interpenetrative,
\n Changeable and free,
