SKYWRITING

What do I have to do with the sky?
\n It doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t drape me
\n With a living curtain like the sea,
\n Doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t open me to coral
\n Or to moving shoals
\n Dense
\n With the calligraphic
\n Passages of streaming fish,
\nIt\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s just the sky,
\n It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hard to read,
\n Easier to feel<\/p>\n

As it reveals my nostrils
\n At the start of a breath,
\n Or my richly nimble tongue
\n As it wrestles the air into a note,
\n Just saying this
\n Draws me
\n Closer to a patch of sunlight
\nOn our kitchen\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s maple island,
\n I blow a breath out to it,
\n The warmth trembles,
\nMy face is now alive with light,
\n My heart welcomes my lips,
\n My brow furrows
\n With a low key rambling joy,<\/p>\n

I find myself at sea with a feeling sense
\n Of the pooling realm I am,
\n Wavering softly
\n Coal branches
\n Are the volume
\nEnhancements of a day of light,
\n The schools of sensations
\n Drench our throats with song,
\n Here they come again, the whole
\n Fleeting array,
\n Down to its ever darkening depths,
\n Up to the sunlit blossoming
