TSK day to day

This is a response to Lesley’s post. The basic question here is how to translate TSK out of the world of quiet reflection into the work world.

This a question we will be looking at a lot during the program, even if it doesn’t usually get stated in this way. But for right now, you can think of TSK Ex. 6 as a way to investigate it. To quote from the exercise, “Is it possible that both of these versions [translucent and opaque Giant Body], as they are experienced directly, are equally a kind of ‘space’ experience?” In other words, can you bring a “space-centered” outlook into ‘object-and-event-centered experience’? I like very much the way Lesley puts this (you have to read her Post to get the context): “Maybe in the moment even transitory conventional knowledge has a capital letter.”

Thanks, Jack. I’m like a kid in a candy store exploring new territory. I just read Ex 6; I hadn’t yet played with opacity/translucency. Intriguing. I will let you know how it goes.

Already, a sense arises that switching back and forth betwen opacity and translucency short-circuits the differentiation between day to day and reflective moments.
