At “the very point,” is there a point?

Peter writes of Ex. 4 that when he goes deeper (and why, he asks, do we always try to go ‘deeper’, rather than ‘higher’?) into experience, letting awareness “settle,” he does not find “the very point” at which experience arises; rather, experience becomes like a vast cloud, with which awareness seems clear, but not accessible.

This is an interesting observation. The whole idea of ‘points’ may work best as a ‘starting point.’ Perhaps later this way of experiencing gives way.
