traditional/new…same/different

On page 239 of Knowledge of Time and Space, Rinpoche writes:

Without the object, there is no going to the ‘beyond’ of space; without space there is no coming to the ‘here’ of appearance.

Is this the same as the (dare I say it, Buddhist) traditional teaching on Form and Emptiness?

Or is it saying something new and different?

Or is it both the same and different?
