Hi Jack,
Thanks for pointing out my ‘abstractness, I will try to keep that in mind for future posts. I’ve been trying to respond to Ron’s comment but apparently the system was acting up and wouldn’t allow me to comment on my own post, so if it’s okay I’ll respond to others here.
Hi Ron,
You asked that I elaborate how the insights into my senses might be of benefit to the cessation of suffering?
TSKEx.9A, tells us “to remain aware of your own presence as the observer of all the patterns.” The readings tell us that the separation between subject and object are the basis for what causes suffering. One way I find to remain present is to initially focus on my body sensations. In that grounding there is a natural expansiveness or openness, where I not only appreciate objects, appearances, situations, etc. (time), but there is an expansion of space, a feeling of more allowing freedom – there are more choices and opportunities. If I’m in a painful situation, angry, cramped by time and commitments, that kind of suffering, then having the ability to open time by grounding in presence (uniting in openness) has healing properties. It would be nice if I could master this, unfortunately I’m too often adrift in a sea of resistance.
Hi Linda, Susan,
Thanks for chiming in! Looking forward to sharing our TSK perspectives. Each perspective opens a new space for me, and I love those ‘openings’!
Best wishes,
>David
