First I want to mention, that for me the walking-around practice seems to be helpful, because I can do the practice everywhere and everytime all over the day. It often comes to my mind by itself, for example during walking, driving the car, conversations and even sometimes in situations, which seem to be difficult to handle.
Experiencing with a way of engaging my world that is more inclusive seems to invite more playfulness for me and moments of wondering: first by opening the senses for light, colours of the trees, blue sky…I am watching more carefully, the range is more open and I do see much more as I am used to see. As well the range of sounds and other sense experiences, sensations and feelings. There is more mindfulness of the activity of thinking and of breathing and feeling alive. But as soon as I start to look for words for what is happening, trying to describe it, there is a shift – the wondering is gone.
