….’the objects and outside-standers that make appearance meaningful.’ (P.189).There are difficults with doing this exercise. I can see my thoughts about things – but seeing the things themselves? Do I know, how things themselves are? Do I know, when i’m seeing a thing (without recognition)?
I remember the exercise TSK 24: A marriage of Sound and Breath: The instruction tells:’Do not get trapped in the labels and significations that sounds bear…'(P.187). The same with this: when I feel the sound in my throat, I only sometimes feel a little bit of the quality of the sound itself. Every time I label. But it helps, to hear not with the ears but with the troat.
So I try to see not only with my usual two eyes, but with the ‘third eye’.(A little inflammation/eczema in that area helped to think about this.) Perhaps it is also possible, to ‘see’ (the time-aspect) with the throat. I will try.
