Seeing time in terms of our own experience and concerns chokes off the dynamic of time in a way that also closes down the vastness of space and blinds us to the scope f knowledge. It is as if we tossed a pebble in a pond and then kept our focus on the point where the pebble entered the water, ignoring the ripples that spread out in alldirections. (KTS, 30)
