Week 1, LOK Ex 2 — Layers of Mind

In an effort to keep my entries here short, I can say that the exercise fostered a focus that seemed to shift from ‘things’ to space, and that experience opened ultimately allowing me to see, in a more direct way, how compressed my ordinary way of dealing with ‘things’ was ‘cramping’. I was also able to, stand back as it were, to not only see the flow of events and relationships, but to ‘be’ them, which was more than just a focus on thoughts about things, but a kind of whole, or at least a more encompassing and embodying perspective that introduced a sense of spaciousness, and a kind of ‘feeling into experience’. I was able to distinguish or classify my experience into layers in order to identify and describe my experience.

If anyone cares to see a more detailed explanation, my practice notes can be found here.

Best to all,

David
