space within memory and memory within space

During the phone exercise today, I recalled a hike in the forest with my daughter. I could see the space in which the scenery existed. I then “zoomed out” of the memory and found that the content of the memory and the space it contained existed in a larger space that allowed for memory itself. A bit like concentric circles each containing a space within a space.
