Sometimes ‘things’ just open… a wondrous, something else experience…

“Drawing on our own mind and senses and feelings, we can open the heart of space and enter the depth of time. What starts as an idea discloses its availability at the center of all that is. As the magnitude of the positive is amplified, the wholeness of experience steps into the light. Freely and easily, knowledge walks forward to greet us, inviting our participation with a gentle smile.”

MATIN
By Ken McKeon

The shadow fall of a gable on the sidewalk,
The roof topped by light,
The wall, deeply thick and cold,

The earth below, packed and as hard
As the sunlight is soft on
The tubular pudgy caterpillar
As it wanders on by
To where the morning calls.

My friend,
You climb into my eyes,
You waver aloft as you lean back
From your many footed steps,

You are the easily fleshed out
Rounding lump I’d be today,

The rub of morning air,
The spell of wings to come,
The float of colors,

Edgy, papery, black eyed,
Brief as a light breeze,
Content as a longing realized,
And now the folded hours of prayer,

All is so sudden,
I am as dumb as silence,
My breath stills,
My heart opens,
Releases now fully to the day.
