About Michael Gray

I first started studying TSK in the mid 1980's and have since attended a number of retreats and workshops at the Nyingma Institute, in both TSK and Buddhist themes. I participated in the life-changing Human Development Training Program in 1991, and upon returning to Albuquerque co-founded an organization, Friends in Time (with a friend who has Lou Gehrig's Disease), which continues to serve people with similiar disabilities. I contributed an essay to "A New Way of Being"--the last one in the book--in which I describe how learning to honor who I have been has broadened and deepened my openness to present experience. I live in New Mexico with my wife and two sons.

Not, Not. Who’s There?

On Page 149 o f Dynamics of Time and Space” there appears one of those mind-bending TSK expressions : “Operating before each measured-out move, prior to directionality,   it is the not-not-not.” Is it possible to understand, is it possible … Continue reading

Conducting the pitch

This morning, planning my day as I have done since spending time with “Skillful Means” and “Mastering Successful Work” years ago, it occurred to me that I rarely get through my List for the day.  Energy runs out.  Or as … Continue reading

Juggling a few beads at once

Last night, walking the dogs in a brisk desert wind, old feelings arose from a morning in Canada, standing at the edge of  a field, snow melting, and the pine boughs singing in a springtime breeze.  Then this morning, I … Continue reading

Responses to Caroline’s TSK Questionaire

TSK Questionnaire   Briefly outline previous spiritual/philosophical study & practice. In the 1970’s, I read all I could by George Gurdjieff and Peter Ouspensky.  In the early 1980’s I was introduced to meditation and Eastern spiritual traditions by an Albuquerque … Continue reading

Practice Day–“Telling Stories”

The practice on page 289 of KTS suggests that we: “Look for those (stories) that consistently repeat themselves.  Can you touch the energy bound up in those stories?  Can you release it?’ I’m sure I have a lot of stories. … Continue reading
