I’ve been remembering Arthur Koestler’s book, with the above title, this week because of a new bizarre connection which has surfaced (adding to a group of similarly implausible coincidences in my experience). Â One of the previous ones was that my wife and I both lived in the same little building behind a larger house, ten years apart. Â The new one this week was that a book doctor to whom I sent a manuscript recently once rented the same house as I lived in when first coming to Albuquerque thirty years ago. Â If I remember correctly, Koestler says to pay attention to such logically improbably connections because they are a window into a deeper reality. Â And this week’s TSK reading, about a second level of time, goes further in presenting what is revealed when Time casts up these unlikely correspondences. Â But I still wonder what I can do with them. Â I guess just let them add to a gathering body of evidence that linear, sequential time is not the only game in town. –Michael
