The primacy of awareness

In doing the exercise suggested in last weeks class, it appeared that there was a  primacy of awareness, a space “in which” content existed…..Upon further reflection it seems that experience is a “form of” awareness, as though awareness is both the figure and ground of experience.

    I wonder if or when a practitioner gets to the path of seeing, that some how is a reflection of one seeing within the experience: knowing simultaneously that awareness is both the figure and ground of experience… the apparition then loosing its (external sense of) grip…
