Hi Ron — Quite a dream. Did the liquid itself glow? It’s interesting how you take this practice toward time; in a way you are combining the practice with “past-present-future of each moment.
Bruce, thanks for the blossom. Your sense of “co-arising” seems right. I think that’s one reason that images of glowing and light and other forms of energy are so much in harmony with the underlying theme of TSK: no positions, no conditions, and instead rhythm and dynamic. The ‘field’ manifestation is of course not in conflict with that.
Gaynor, I had to laugh at the image of being the glow of a frantic bird. What Bruce says about the field as a whole may be helpful here. But agitation and emotion in general are far removed from glow and dynamic. They are precisely insistent on being what they are.
I have not worked much with candles or the like, but what you write about becoming one with the sound is of course very similar to Marriage of Sound and Breath, one of the foundation exercises. I am in fact struck in reading people’s comments at how often exercise or set of exercises evokes another.
On the other hand, I want to encourage people for whom the exercises are mysterious or unclear. Keep in mind that Bruce, Ron, Gaynor, David, and Peter (the most recent people to write posts) all have extensive experience with TSK.
With that in mind, I would love to hear from some participants for whom this is all pretty new. What’s happening for you?
Jack
