Trains of Thought (do they count if they go ‘between’ people?

I’ve lost the last couple of posts, so this one will be short.

Arthur, doing Ex. 4b, is amazed by our ability to ‘make’ trains of thought. The exercise is very useful in clarifying how this happens, but certainly there are still mysteries.

Arthur writes that he thinks in a silent voice, Is that other people’s experience? I find that I think more in images and imagined conversations, which is different.

  1. Arthur says:

    About “Silent Voices”
Reflecting this I “see” – reflecting this phenomena, I also think more in images and with imagined conversations I come closer to silent or thought words. The longer I think about this, the more different shapes I discover. In a inner dialog for example with an absent friend I “hear” his voice, of course in my mind. Where is the crossing point of imagine and “hearing”?
