“Hello , my name is Remco and I train to be an embodiment of a new vision of realityâ€
Hello Remco
“Although this changed my social life and I lost some old friends because of it. And made the pursuit of a “normal†career like many people around me have seem ungratifying and undoable for me. And changed my pleasure in following politics and discussions, and in tv in general, to a dislike or making it seem as just a waist of time. And caused a (sometimes badly) hidden crazymaking feeling that scientists, philosophers, poets, writers, but actually maybe everyone, misses out on something and will never get the whole picture or even a worthwhile picture if they don’t share this or a familiar vision;
I still keep on training to be an embodiment.
Here are just some of my reasons, they are from a reading assignment from a small, very special group I train with. If it is to much text, just read the red parts. Or maybe, just read the red partsâ€:
“While space around objects may seem appropriate, necessary, and restful, space within objects may appear a little bewildering. And space considered by itself may appear meaningless, or perhaps even forbidding. (p7 (TSK))
We can leave logical analyses aside for the moment and continue to contemplate the comings and goings of things in our ‘mind’s eye’. (p10)
This new consideration of space is not concerned with conventional truths. (p10)
There is a sense in which, as a perception, or better still, as a vision, ordinary space may be related to the primary ground of all existence. (p11)
Initially, however, it is important to attend to space as we ordinarily experience it, for such an attending may serve as a doorway to a wider realm of understanding and, consequently, to the resolution of ordinarily intractable problems. (p11)
If we accept what occurs within our realm at face value, and are not aware of the structuring power of this ‘lower space’, appearance becomes false or misleading in the sense that its more fulfilling and significant dimensions elude us. It is as if we were being manipulated by a sort of local petty official, whose power actually derives from a larger government and whose actions express the will of that government. This petty official does not inform us of the source or purpose of his commands—maybe he himself is governing clandestinely—and so we cannot correctly judge our situation. We attribute powers and connections to what in fact lacks them, or to what has them only secondarily. (p12)
Rather, a properly-guided journey through certain of these spaces can result in the perception that they can be meaningfully ordered: spaces which are ‘higher’ and ‘bigger’, as opposed to ‘lower’ and ‘smaller’. (p13)
So, our initial efforts at transcendence may seem a little extreme, and the new space may look odd for a while. But as we become accustomed to the new space and look back on our old space from our new vantage point, the lower space may then seem strange. Our accommodating capacity needs to be greater, more balanced. (p13)â€
Dear all,
Reading the post and the comments it came to my mind how difficult it is for us to accept a new vision of reality. We are so conditioned by the model of how things must be that it seems crazy or not natural not accepting the view of reality inherited from our society.
Morning Remco
Thanks for such a humorous look at our selves. We could also look at it from another perspective. It is our conventional understands that are crazy. Isn’t it crazy to think the universe can be understood in logical, rational and linear terms? When 98% of the universe is comprised of dark matter and dark space of which we know nothing, isn’t it crazy for science to be offering explanations about the origin of things. Isn’t it crazy to think I am separate from the world I know? Isn’t it crazy to think everything that happens is caused by the moment before?
TSK does not offer a view of how things “really are”, merely a vision about what makes appearance possible
Dear Remco.
The honesty of your post is touching me deeply. There is a feeling of a deep connection. I often was asking myself: “Why don`t I quit the training??? It is to crazy and a lot of people doing it seem to be crazy too.” Perhaps the unfolding of the vision is more powerful than my personal concerns. Perhaps if you once started “to train to be an embodiment”, the training is developing its own dynamic.
Thank you for your careful description.
Karin
Hi Remco,
Thanks. Isn`t it great to be part of this “crazyness,” especially on carneval, the time of the fools.
Thanks Remco,
isn`t it great, we are part of this “crazyness”. Actually, today is Carneval, the day of the fools. groet klaus
