Is the following excerpt from a TSK book? If so, which one?
“But it is not only the past that is deadened; the present, too, is nearly killed. Why? In a linear view of time, the present is not an open doorway, but an isolated and fleeting point in time between past and future. In fact, if we are strictly linear about it, the present is an abstraction with no basis in reality at all because nothing we think of can be acted upon in the same moment. Our attempts to segregate time into sections are ultimately futile. Time does not fly like an arrow in a straight line; it flows where it is called to flow, in a manner akin to water. A linear notion of time is analogous to reaching one’s hand into a stream to pull out one drop of water. It cannot be done.â€Â Original Thinking: A Radical ReVisioning of Time, Humanity, and Nature. Glenn Aparicio Parry.

I attended Glenn’s local book reading and am now halfway through his book.  I find it especially impressive when the TSK vision is corroborated by a stream of inquiry that is completely independent of it. This compatibility broadens and humanizes my appreciation for the TSK perspective. Time, space and knowledge may well be the ultimate players in all that arises, but it is comforting to discover that a compatible vision of our home world has abided for centuries in traditions native to our planet. It’s wonderful to discover that the TSK vision already has a home in human thought. I am also amazed that this book was written without benefit of the inspiration many of us have found directly in the TSK vision.
