“Mind is available”

DTS, page 210 – 214

“Through this emergent intimicy our journey changes character. ” DTS, page 213

The descriptions  of the “Path of Light” in this chapter, how to go on with inquiry, subject of our last discussion with Jack, are very helpful and inspiring for me.

Starting with “fully inhabiting the situation we find ourselves in”: so often full of tension or frustration, because things are not the way I would like them to be. When I am able to see the emerging dynamic of thoughts, emotions, sensations, taking positions, always at the edge of accepting it as the truth of what appears, there is a chance of “more lightness” – in every situation, in every moment.

“There are traces of clarity”, DTS, page 211

“For a moment we gaze at this position”, DTS, page 213

“Neither accepting thoughts as guides nor rejecting them as enemies…”, DTS, page 213

So important: We don`t have to accept nor to reject – still looking and not committing. I do appreciate so much having  practised the exercises DTS 2 and 3 during our TSK-retreat at Ratna Ling: “Time of Thinking” and “Playfulness of Thoughts”. Reactivating them again and again is so helpful to grow “intimate with the byways of the ordinary”, DTS, page 213. But it is still difficult to activate this awareness when emotional patterns are getting too strong.

Intention, willingness and confidence in the dynamic of the Path of Light: “…can see us through obstacles….and allow the lightfulness we seek.” Thank you so much for this guidance in DTS, our TSK-Onlineprogram and our retreats.

    Karen,
I appreciate your balanced way of quoting passages, sharing your personal experiences, while invoking the theme of how ‘light’ is inherent within ordinary life.

It reminds me of the balance that is provided by “this guidance in DTS, our TSK-Onlineprogram and our retreats.”

I will be sad to see these supports give way to my own fitful reading of the books. But perhaps some kind of community can continue when these two years comes to an end? I hope so.

Yes, Michael, I hope so too. Our community is so encouring and the support so helpful for me, may be for all of us. In Germany we shall go on with reading together and translating “Inside Knowledge”. We shall be only a few of us, but I am very grateful for this opportunity. Let`s see, if there is another chance that our Studygroup-community can continue. Let`s stay in contact! And let`s meet again at another retreat.
