Breath of Fresh Air…

TSK instructor, Ken McKeon’s poem seemed to hint at something Rinpoche once said…

“In our struggles to arrive at our goals and fulfill our wishes, we have taken so many steps, formed so many intentions—all without lasting results. Now we want to proceed differently. Instead of striking out yet again, we can simply take a deep breath of fresh air. In one sense, nothing special has happened. Yet new life is coursing through the body. The eyes open wide, and we are ready to see in a new way. Instead of seeing what presents itself before us, we see the light of the presentation. Seeing light, we become light. In accord with a logic that outdoes the logic of identity and existence, seeing becomes being, and we enter light everywhere.”
‘Dynamics of Time and Space’, Tarthang Tulku, p. 312

ENJOYMENT AIR
By Ken McKeon

There’s a bit of sense, a token way,
In bringing in some ease,
It’s not just a matter
Of calming down,
Though dullness does have its charms,

It’s more like stepping into a busy room,
And not adding to the chatter,
Just listening to the texture,
Hearing in the quick draws of breath,
And feeding in your mind until
That very breath is yours,

From then on it’s like skating on air,
It’s that graceful, that much fun,
And when the breath within
Shows as a really open space,
Enter it beyond yourself,
The astonishing ease will shine still more,

By now, you’ll be off checking for your baggage,
Did it get through, in what shape, anything lost, anything gained,

That just keeps going on, so what, never mind,

The various tags appear of various bags,

They’re going nowhere, they’re just traveling
On radiant whim alone-

En Joy Ment Air,

Quite an airline, I’ll say.

    David,

Once again the poem points to the feel of the field, to the life coursing through the body.

Ken writes beautiful poems. Thanks David for sharing and connecting it to the TSK vision.
