Hi all,
after the inspiring phone call 1.5 hour ago I thought it would be nice to share the following with other participants:
Last week I was having a short holiday with my wife at one of the islands
in the Netherlands (Schiermonnikoog). We started walking over the desolated beaches over there, which was initially a very lively, exciting and impressive experience! As we walked on this (first moment?) experience (slowly) faded away (without ‘really’ noticing this fading away …). After half an hour we stopped walking, I closed my eyes, relaxed, felt the warmth in my body and the space around me and then after 5-10 minutes slowly opened my eyes again. There it was again … the vivid experience of the surrounding landscapes was back, ‘fully alive’again.
So would this shift in experience before and after closing the eyes be the shift from descriptive knowledge back to polar knowledge … ? Funny enough after opening the eyes it did feel like there was not really a subject for a moment, so maybe it was beyond polar knowledge, I dunno still inquiring along :-).
Eric.
