Sweet Pain

In dipping awareness into the energy trapped in stories, I find sharp pain. I have to be kind, and relax, to go closer. On closer ‘inspection’, the sharpness turns to sweetness – not in any kind of mawkish or sentimental sense, but actually as something which is almost blissful: kind of shining and hot, very intense and concentrated.

Is this what the tradition means by ‘one taste’ or is this something completely different?

“ Whatever you experience, realize that all of it is simply the unobstructed play of your own mind. Without rejecting with anger or accepting with attachment, rest loosely in the innate state of same taste.”
