I am writing this from Ratna Ling and looking ahead to our retreat together in August. I’ve brought the MMS outline with me and discussions are in process with one of the Kum Nye dancers here and also a woman who teaches at the Nyingma Institute in Buenos Aires. Also, on advice, I met with Barry Schieber (Guna Foundation film producer). Barry advised to just go ahead and get on with it: create a short ‘taster’ show which can be ‘trialed’ at various TSK events and workshops, to get feedback before creating the full length show.
I wonder if six of us could undertake to read one book each from the series, with an eye to gleaning a pithy, poetic script. Could we make this part of our discussion at the retreat?
Another possibility is to shorten my current draft script for immediate presentation, perhaps in conjunction with Kum Nye dancers and musicians at Ratna Ling…but this all needs to be discussed and clarified.
Please let me know your thoughts via this site.
Thank you

Just a thought, in Jack’s book, “When It Rains Does Space Get Wet”, there is a summary of each book. In those summaries Jack quotes “some” key phrases that Rinpoche uses to illustrate key points.
This sounds like a good place to start. Thanks, David.
Just remember, I want to be the narrator’s voice for this production. Really !!
I haven’t forgotten, Hayward. You are clearly in my mind for this role for at least one of the productions. Hopefully the format will be flexible enough that the show can be presented by a different ‘cast’ in different locations.
