About Marcia

Hello. I´m Marcia Fiker from São Paulo, Brazil. I´ve been in contact with TSK for a long time now and helped to translate Love of Knowledge into portuguese. But so far I have not been a regular practitioner and I´m willing to change this! I´m a psychologist and a translator. Also, I love the Dharma teachings especially as transmitted by Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche. I'm married and have a 18 year old son. Well, I don´t have a photo to send you right away.

This presenting

As I was reading Chapter 9 of DTS, there was a feeling that “I” was separate from the contents of the chapter, “I” was trying to make sense of what was “real-ly” being said about being in the present… until … Continue reading

Moments again

Before getting asleep or before fully awakening… are those moments between moments? There is less solidity, the known world is not there… there’s a kind of ‘blank’ from which all colors can come. Is this a moment between (or within) … Continue reading

stepping into the present

Hi, Jack, I´m back again. I would like to comment on your initial letter introducing this second course.   “If you set out to experience time, do you only experience the events that happen in time?” The zen tradition … Continue reading

Presence of Moments

Peter says, “Actually, I only live in the past.” Do others agree? Kum Nye exercises connected with Time are powerful, at least in my experience, to make us taste more fully the present (or presence) of each moment, especially the … Continue reading

Experience with Marriage of Sound and Breath

I have practiced this exercise a few times during the past years and I feel it is a powerful way to have our usual sense of ‘me’ and ‘myself’ challenged. Boundaries seem to dissolve between ‘me here’ and ‘the world … Continue reading
